What is TradieYard?
TradieYard is an Australian construction marketplace that connects homeowners, tradies and suppliers. Homeowners post jobs, tradies submit quotes, and you can also browse portfolios, hire equipment and check typical pricing — all in one place.
Who is TradieYard for?
Licensed Australian tradies looking for a steadier pipeline of local work, homeowners who want verified quotes without the chasing, and suppliers who want to list equipment and services. If you're in construction or renovating in Australia, it's for you.
How does the no-commission model work?
We don't charge a cut of any job. Tradies pay a flat monthly subscription (from free to Enterprise) and keep 100% of what they earn. No lead fees. No take rate. No surprise deductions.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Paid subscriptions can be cancelled from your billing settings at any time — you'll keep access until the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that.
How do you verify tradie licences?
When a tradie signs up, we collect their ABN, trade licence number and insurance details. We cross-check the licence against the relevant state regulator (QBCC, Service NSW, VBA, etc.). Verified tradies get a green badge on their profile.
How much does it cost homeowners?
Nothing. Homeowners can browse tradies, post jobs, compare quotes and message tradies without ever paying TradieYard a cent.
Which trades do you support?
30+ categories at launch — including bricklaying, carpentry, concreting, electrical, plumbing, roofing, tiling, landscaping, painting and more. Full list is on the Post-a-Job and Tradie Directory pages.
Can I use my Google reviews?
Not directly — only job-linked reviews count on TradieYard, which keeps ratings genuine. But you're welcome to link your Google Business Profile from your TradieYard profile so homeowners can check both.
How do I get more leads and visibility?
A complete profile (photos, bio, portfolio, verified licence, recent reviews) is the fastest path. Paid tiers also get featured directory placement and appear higher in search results for their trade.
Is my data safe?
Yes. TradieYard runs on Australian-hosted infrastructure, all traffic is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we never sell your data to third parties. You can export or delete your data at any time.
How does the tender / quote system work?
A homeowner posts a job with scope, location and budget. Relevant tradies get notified and can submit a quote (amount + message). The homeowner sees all quotes in one place, can message the tradie, and accepts the one they want. No tendering fees.
What happens if there's a dispute?
We provide a simple resolution path: document the issue in the job thread, escalate to TradieYard support, and we'll help mediate. For formal disputes we'll also point you to the right state body (QBCC, Fair Trading, VBA) — that's where enforceable outcomes sit.
When does TradieYard launch?
We're launching in QLD, NSW and VIC first, rolling out to the rest of Australia shortly after. Join the waitlist on the home page to get early access and founding-member pricing.
